Artist Spread in Taddle Creek Magazine
My photo essay, wherein I had myself photographed in the children's section of the photo studio at Sears, has been published as an artist spread in Taddle Creek Magazine. There is an accompanying essay by Sholem Krishtalka.
Here's a peek from the series. Also, check out

SkryPod, with FASTWURMS, Nuit Blanche Toronto 2009
Just in time for Hallowe'en (actually, I am always in time for Hallowe'en). I read many, many cards to many, many people. To my surprise, not one of my customers had a fatal collision with a bus in his/her near future.
Pride 2009 Buttons
Granny Boots with DJ Fatback
I recently curated/hosted/Djed a special Valentines edition of the Gladstone Hotel's Grannyboots party, on Feb 11. Featured guests included FASTWURMS, who created a wonderous Tarot reading tent, Keith Cole, who created (and employed!) his new and very helpful "cock washing station", the legendary Mdme. Zsa Zsa The Two Dollar Psychic (aka Andew Harwood), who gave glittery predictions for the future and a bountiful crafting table (wo)manned by Kirsten Johnson and Anthony Easton, wherein many pretty paper flowers and love cards were made. Photos attached! My dj persona, DJ Backfat, wore a fetching cape and a wig stolen from a dead Winnipeg matron. Don't ask.
Live With Out Culture
Co-created with Jared Mitchell
in response to the City of Toronto's lame Live With Culture campaign, which
featured overly peppy underwear models dancing with books and paintbrushes.
Live With Out Culture was first shown at Paul Petro Multiples, then at the Museum of Contemporary
Canadian Art, both in Toronto.
Am I Becoming My Father
This image is from the photo project Am I Becoming My Father, which was
originally part of the show Double Chin Picnic at Katherine Mulherin Art in
Toronto, and then was published in Locus Suspectus Magazine
(www.lsmagazine.ca), and then shown as part of the photography component of
Exposure, an Edmonton Queer Arts festival (www.exposurefestival.ca)
Simple Advice for Toronto Artists
These are all from the ongoing project Simple Advice For Toronto Artists - a
button generating project wherein I create event or news event-specific
buttons to freely and randomly distribute around Toronto at various arts
parties and openings.
Xmas Spice
Every year, I create demented Xmas ornaments known as Santa Bats (or Santa
Spiders, Santa Bugs).
They are available from Paul Petro Contemporary Art in Toronto.
Drag
Sometimes, I do drag performances. It is not pretty.
